Sterile Compounding Inspector Training (SCIT)

Virtual Training Event for $2,500 | March 27-31, 2023

Join us for a virtual 5-day sterile compounding inspector training led by CriticalPoint's sterile compounding expert Latousha (Tasha) P. Jackson, PharmD, BCPS, BCSCP.

*You must be a state Board of Pharmacy inspector, Canadian pharmacy inspector, or private consultant to attend this training. For sterile compounding training for pharmacists, technicians, and other members of the care team, register for our Best Practices for Nonhazardous Sterile Compounding Training (USP <797>).

  • Where: Anywhere! This virtual training can be attended from the comfort of your home or wherever you may train best.

  • Registration Cost: $2,500 per inspector.

Training will include all aspects of sterile compounding including exercises in hand hygiene and garbing; environmental sampling, aseptic technique and first air; bubble point and sterility testing. See accreditation details and training schedule.

Earn Your Certification


Participants who successfully complete the entire Sterile Compounding Series (34.5 hours of self-study courses offering ACPE credit), attend the entire virtual training, complete the course evaluation, and successfully pass a test administered through CriticalPoint’s LMS will earn the CriticalPoint Certification in Sterile Compounding for Inspectors (CISCI).

Self-study courses must be completed by April 30, 2023, the course evaluation must be completed within 14 days of the training end date, and the test must be completed by May 12, 2023.

Latousha (Tasha) P. Jackson, PharmD, BCPS, BCSCP

Tasha is a Virginia native who received her bachelor of science in biology degree from Norfolk State University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree

Tasha is a Virginia native who received her bachelor of science in biology degree from Norfolk State University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth School of Pharmacy) in 2004. After receiving her degree, she began her career in health system pharmacy practice at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. After several years of health system pharmacy practice in areas such as internal medicine, critical care and pharmacy distribution, Dr. Jackson obtained Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS).

Her experiences in hospital pharmacy practice and news of the New England Compounding Center tragedy inspired a desire to shift her practice into sterile compounding and patient safety.  With renewed focus and training she relocated to North Carolina to serve as Pharmacist Administrative Coordinator – Sterile Products at the Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro NC.  Prior to joining the CriticalPoint team, served as the Compounding and Hazardous Medication Compliance Program Manager with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Durham, NC.  Dr. Jackson also obtained Board Certification in Compounded Sterile Preparations (BCSCP).

Adam has 15 years of experience in the certification industry providing Field Certification Services for 503A and 503B sterile compounding facilities and pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. Adam also has expertise in viable environmental monitoring, including sampling plan development and remediation. Adam holds the Registered Certification Professional – Sterile Compounding Facilities (RCP-SCF) certification and NSF-49 accreditation.
